Bentley Batur Convertible

Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke division and the world's oldest coachbuilder, has unveiled its latest creation: the Batur Convertible. This two-seater convertible, produced in a limited edition of 16 units, is the third Bentley coachbuilt of the modern era, after the Bacalar barchetta and the Batur coupé.

The Batur Convertible is an evolution of Bentley's DNA, capturing the essence of the open-top grand tourer in a progressive design elaborated by Batur. It offers a wider range of customization options, including the "flying bridge" and rose gold interior finishes. Each example is among the last Bentleys to use the iconic 750 hp W12 engine.

The Batur Convertible:Convertible: A custom-made car, co-created with the customer

Mulliner's in-house design team will contribute to the co-creation of each Batur Convertible with its customer, using a specially designed Mulliner visualization system for the occasion. Customers will be able to specify the color and finish of virtually every element of the car, creating a car that reflects their unique personality.

The choice of paint is infinite, as it is possible to choose any shade from the Mulliner color palette or to request a completely custom paint, or even hand-painted graphic elements. The exterior coating can be a combination of light and dark, satin or gloss colors, or even titanium. Another subtle option is available: a contrasting gradient color on the grille, for a vibrant ombre effect.

The Batur Convertible offers other customization possibilities with the unique flying bridge, the tonneau cover and the roof materials that can be specified to match the other elements of the interior and exterior.

A state-of-the-art two-seatertwo-seater grand tourer

The Batur Convertible is equipped with the most powerful version of Bentley's iconic W12 engine, with a 6.0-liter biturbo engine and 750 hp, hand-assembled. As the engine production is due to end this summer, the Batur Convertible will be one of the last Bentleys to use this extraordinary powertrain.

The convertible top features a beautiful aesthetics that is a modern and tactile alternative to the hardtop. The combination of insulating materials, improvements to the sealing system and acoustic treatments creates a protected environment, with a system that can be deployed and stowed in just 19 seconds while the car is driving up to 50 km/h, transforming a luxury coupé into an open-top grand tourer at the touch of a button.

The Batur ConvertibleConvertible No. 0

The technical development example - the Batur Convertible No. 0 - has received very detailed attention, just like the one that will be given to customer specifications. The exterior paint is a custom bi-color finish - gloss vermillion on satin vermillion - which gives a vibrant color to the contemporary surfaces of the vehicle. The body is underlined by front splitters, side sills and a rear diffuser in bright carbon fiber.

The front of the car features an exceptional grille, whose main matrix is finished in dark titanium bright, accentuated by contrasting chevrons in a horizontal ombre pattern that goes from black beluga in the center to bright vermillion on the sides. The line of the "endless hood" is in dark titanium bright, as are the 22-inch rims, whose spokes are in black and satin titanium bright, enhanced with bright vermillion accents.

The Batur Convertible will be handcrafted over several months in Mulliner's workshop, located within Bentley's factory in Crewe, England, which is distinguished by its carbon neutrality. Each example will be a unique piece, designed and built by the original masters of bespoke coachbuilding.
