Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail.

With 6,021 Rolls-Royce cars sold in 2022, some clients think that's too many! With the advent of ultra-luxury (at Luxe.fm, we prefer the term HYPERLUXE, you know why 🙂 ), some clients want unique models or those made in very few examples. This is the case for the buyer of this stunning Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail: a unique hyperluxury roadster, signed by the Coachbuild Design department.

The rise of VIC (Very Important Customers) will be the subject of a podcast on Luxe.fm.

Here is the most expensive convertible in the world: The Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail.

The Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail sets new price records in the automotive world, with an estimated value of €28.7 million.

Rolls-Royce, synonymous with luxury and ultra-luxury, presents its latest creation, the Arcadia Droptail. This masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship is the third model in the Droptail series and perfectly embodies the brand's vision in terms of design, comfort, and refinement.

A Design InspiredInspired by Greek Mythology

The Arcadia Droptail takes its name from Arcadia, a mythical place in ancient Greece, often described as an earthly paradise. This custom-designed roadster was envisioned by its commissioner as a space of serenity, characterized by simplicity, material depth, and tactility.

Santos Straight Grain wood, chosen for its unique interlocking grain and texture, is used both inside and outside the vehicle. The rear of the car, aerodynamic and functional, showcases this wood at a perfect 55° angle. To protect these wooden surfaces, intended to be exposed to various climates, Rolls-Royce engineers developed a custom varnish, requiring over 8,000 hours of development and 1,000 hours of testing.

Interior of thethe Arcadia Droptail

The interior of the Arcadia Droptail is upholstered in leather in two exclusive shades chosen by the client. The main white harmonizes with the exterior paint, while the contrasting tan was developed to match perfectly with the Santos Straight Grain wood.

The V12 StillStill in the Spotlight

Under the hood, the Droptail Arcadia features a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, delivering 593 hp and 840 Nm of torque. A power deemed “sufficient” by Rolls-Royce, which still mentions a 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 5 seconds.

A Price ReflectingReflecting Exclusivity

The price of the Arcadia Droptail has not been disclosed. However, given its status as the most expensive car in the world, it is likely that its cost approaches the €30 million mark (excluding taxes, of course!). This price reflects not only the car’s exclusivity but also the years of work and craftsmanship that went into its creation.
