ROLLS-ROYCE BOAT TAIL: THE MOST EXPENSIVE CAR IN THE WORLD

Two years ago, the French hypercar manufacturer Bugatti presented us with the Voiture Noire, which was the most expensive car in the world. A few weeks ago, the British manufacturer Rolls-Royce introduced us to the most expensive car of 2021: the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. Its price: £20 million, approximately €23.265 million. The owner? Rumor has it that this magnificent Rolls-Royce Boat Tail belongs to the couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

€23.265 million for this Rolls-Royce Boat Tail.

As Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the CEO of Rolls-Royce, says about the new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, "it is authentic luxury, in its most refined form." This magnificent Rolls-Royce surpasses its counterpart, the Rolls-Royce Sweptail, a unique model sold for €11.4 million, or the French "Voiture Noire," available for around €17 million.

Rolls-Royce Boat TailTail

Produced in only three units and not one more, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail means "boat tail." The British manufacturer drew inspiration from boats for the design. Indeed, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail draws inspiration from Rivera speedboats, stars of the Côte d'Azur, and chic European lakes with their precious wood decks. That of the Boat Tail, located on the rear deck, opens in two to form a table and reveal a champagne refrigerator, a luxury picnic set signed by the house Christofle, and a parasol. It is said to have required 4 years of work. The Boat Tail is 5.80 meters long and is powered by a 6.75-liter V12 engine. It's not just luxury, it's HYPERLUXE.

The HYPERLUXE Rolls-Royce is equipped with sun protection that has been specifically developed with a stainless steel tree, high-resistance fabric stretched over carbon fiber stays. The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail has been wind tunnel tested for aerodynamics. For the wealthy occupants, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail receives two watches from the Swiss watchmaker Bovet 1822, one for sir and the other for madam. The watches can be worn by the owners or admired on the dashboard of the luxury car.

Luxury is dead, dead, long live HYPERLUXE

Today, luxury is all about customization. As we like to say at HYPERLUXE: luxury is dead, long live hyperluxury! When you are among the top 1% wealthiest, you want to stand out from other millionaires or billionaires at all costs. Today luxury is about customization and manufacturers understand it well, especially luxury car manufacturers. Each manufacturer has its bespoke department. After "Tailor-Made" for Ferrari's wealthy buyers, the Italian manufacturer opened its "super-bespoke" department: Ferrari Icona, an exclusive Ferrari department. The same goes for Lamborghini. Also at Rolls-Royce, after its "Bespoke" department, welcome the "Rolls-Royce Coachbuild" department for "exclusivity within exclusivity." This department has two models to its credit: Boat Tail and Sweptail. These departments show a desire for the ultra-ultra-rich to own pieces of goldsmithing, pieces of art, pieces that are literally unique. This is what we call HYPERLUXE.
