Bugatti Black Bess for sale
It does not come every day a Bugatti so singular on the market — even less a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess, one of only three ever produced.
Dressed in deep black enhanced by touches of 24-carat gold, this ultra-limited edition embodies the modern tribute to the mythical Type 18 of Roland Garros. The interior, in Havanna and Beige leather, reveals hand-drawn sketches on the door panels — a level of detail almost unheard of in contemporary automotive.

This Bugatti Black Bess, registered for the first time in July 2014, shows only 4,200 km on the odometer. The vehicle is currently located in Germany via the dealer Amian Collection Cars.
The price? On request — but for reference, its new price was 2.15 million euros. Its rarity and condition could today value it well beyond.
With only three examples in the world, the Bugatti Black Bess embodies absolute exclusivity — its price reflects as much its rarity as its heritage.
The history ofof the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess is part of the prestigious series “Les Légendes de Bugatti”, composed of six limited editions paying tribute to key figures in the brand’s history. The Black Bess, fifth opus of this series, revisits the spirit of the Type 18 from the early 20th century.

Produced between 1912 and 1914, the Type 18 was at the time one of the fastest road cars in the world. It owes its nickname “Black Bess”** to a legendary racehorse, but above all to its first owner: Roland Garros, pioneer of French aviation. Fascinated by speed, Garros chose the Type 18 for its ability to rival his aerial feats.
The modern Bugatti is directly inspired by this story. Unveiled in a world premiere at the Auto China show in Beijing in April 2014, it combines noble materials and historical references. The ink sketches on the doors illustrate the Type 18 and Garros’s Morane-Saulnier Type H aircraft, in an artistic approach respectful of artisanal traditions.
The model currently for sale is one of the only three Black Bess units ever built. It had only one owner, whose identity has not been made public. The car has remained carefully preserved since its first registration.
Bodywork of thethe Bugatti Black Bess
The bodywork is entirely made of carbon fiber painted in glossy black. This finish recalls the original Type 18 model, while integrating modern and highly exclusive elements.
The gold details are not painted, but plated in 24-carat gold — a first in the history of Bugatti. The iconic horseshoe on the grille, the EB logo at the rear, the hubcaps, as well as the fuel and oil caps, all literally shine under the sun thanks to this precious treatment.
Radiating golden stripes, stretching from the headlights to the doors, create a unique graphic continuity on each side. The whole composes a sleek and instantly recognizable silhouette, between historical tribute and contemporary luxury.
Interior of thethe Bugatti Black Bess
The entire cabin is dressed in full-grain leather in two contrasting shades: light Beige for the seats, headliner, center console, and floor mats, and dark brown Havanna for the dashboard, door panels, and rear shelf.
Red “Carmesin” stitching — echoing the red leather-wrapped steering wheel — discreetly highlights the contours of the seats and seat belts. The gear selector, meanwhile, is made of rosewood.
But the highlight lies in the door panels, where two historical scenes are hand-drawn in ink: on one side, the Type 18 Black Bess, on the other, the Morane-Saulnier Type H aircraft of Roland Garros. These illustrations required the development of an exclusive impregnation technology, ensuring their durability without altering the texture of the leather.

Engine of thethe car
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 engine. This exceptional block is based on a 16-cylinder W configuration, spread across four banks.
Each cylinder bank has its own management system, with four turbochargers. Direct injection, combined with optimized cooling via intercoolers, ensures constant fueling even at high revs.

The engine produces 1,200 horsepower (885 kW) at 6,400 rpm, with 1,500 Nm of torque available between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DSG), sending power to all four wheels via a permanent all-wheel-drive system (AWD).
Performance of thethe Black Bess
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess delivers performance that places it among the fastest roadsters ever approved for the road.
It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system and the grip provided by its specially designed tires.
Acceleration continues seamlessly, with 0 to 200 km/h in 7.1 seconds.
The top speed reaches 408.84 km/h in open-top configuration — a world record for a production roadster at the time of its release.
