Launched in 2005, the Pagani Zonda F is among the most exclusive models produced by the Italian brand. This example features a black body and an interior of the same color. Under the hood, there is a 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12, developed in partnership with AMG, delivering 602 horsepower.
At its launch in 2010, the Pagani Zonda Tricolore had an original price of €1.3 million. Today, with only three units produced, its value in the collector car market has significantly increased.
Pagani Zonda TRICOLORE – An Icon for Sale
Estimates suggest that this example, currently up for auction by RM Sotheby’s, could exceed €12 million, setting a new benchmark for the brand’s models.
With its blue exposed carbon finish, inspired by the Italian aerobatic patrol Frecce Tricolori, this Zonda Tricolore stands out with its design and specific aerodynamic configuration. It is built on a carbon-titanium chassis, optimizing the weight-to-rigidity ratio.
Its 7.3-liter V12 engine, signed by AMG, delivers 670 hp and 780 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox. The combination ensures high performance, with a top speed of 350 km/h.

History of thethe Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The Pagani Zonda Tricolore was designed to pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori, the aerobatic patrol of the Italian Air Force. Inspired by aviation, this special edition stands out with its blue exposed carbon finish and tricolor details reminiscent of the Italian flag.
Based on the Zonda Cinque, the Tricolore retains the features of this version while integrating specific elements, including a vertical fin on the engine cover, replacing the roof air intake of the Cinque. This model marked one of the final evolutions of the Zonda program, before the brand shifted its focus to the Huayra.
The example offered today is the second of the three units produced. It has been carefully preserved by its successive owners and has only 1,112 km on the odometer, making it one of the least-driven examples. Currently registered in Germany, this vehicle has always been meticulously maintained and has never been modified.
Bodywork of thethe Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The Pagani Zonda Tricolore stands out with its blue exposed carbon bodywork, protected by a clear lacquer that enhances the depth and texture of the material. This finish is directly inspired by the aircraft of the Frecce Tricolori patrol, featuring lines in the colors of the Italian flag running across the body.
Unlike the Zonda Cinque, the Tricolore adopts a vertical fin on the engine cover, a distinctive aerodynamic element that strengthens its connection to aviation. The front end also features LED daytime running lights positioned beneath the main headlights, a characteristic later adopted by other Zonda models.
The car sits on forged alloy wheels, with a gold finish that subtly contrasts with the blue carbon fiber.
Interior of thethe Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The interior of the Pagani Zonda Tricolore is dominated by exposed carbon fiber, which covers the dashboard, center console, and door panels. This raw material, highlighted by a lacquered finish, contrasts with the light beige leather that upholsters the seats and select interior elements.
The tricolor stitching, in the colors of the Italian flag, echoes the model’s aviation inspiration, while the milled aluminum inserts enhance its handcrafted appeal. The carbon and perforated leather steering wheel ensures an optimal grip, and the center console, with its array of controls, reflects the Zonda’s DNA.
A numbered plaque on the glove compartment designates this example as the second of the three produced, a detail that underscores the model’s exclusivity.
Engine of thethe Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The Pagani Zonda Tricolore is powered by a 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12, developed by Mercedes-Benz AMG. This mid-rear-mounted engine produces 670 hp at 6,150 rpm and a peak torque of 780 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
The air intake is optimized with a specific air scoop positioned above the engine, ensuring a direct airflow supply. The engine block is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox, controlled via carbon fiber paddle shifters, enabling fast gear shifts.
The titanium exhaust system, designed to reduce weight while maintaining optimal airflow, is coupled with an Inconel manifold, an alloy commonly used in motorsport for its high-temperature resistance. The entire engine system is mounted on a carbon-titanium chassis, designed to absorb vibrations and enhance structural rigidity.
Performance of the Pagani Zonda Tricolore
The Pagani Zonda Tricolore delivers high performance, thanks to its V12 engine and lightweight construction. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while the 0 to 200 km/h sprint is achieved in 9.6 seconds.
- 0 to 100 km/h: 3.4 sec
- 0 to 200 km/h: 9.6 sec
- 0 to 300 km/h: 22.0 sec
- 400 meters (standing start): 10.9 sec
- 1,000 meters (standing start): 19.6 sec
- Top speed: 350 km/h
The manufacturer-claimed top speed is 350 km/h. Its power-to-weight ratio, combined with an efficient transmission and optimized aerodynamics, ensures progressive acceleration and immediate throttle response.
Braking is handled by carbon-ceramic discs, providing precise control and increased resistance to high temperatures. The adjustable suspension, developed in collaboration with Öhlins, enhances stability and helps maintain the chassis balance at high speeds.
How many PaganiPagani Zonda Tricolore were made?
The Pagani Zonda Tricolore was produced in only three units, making each one particularly rare on the market.
Designed as a special edition inspired by the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic patrol, it is based on the Zonda Cinque, incorporating unique design and aerodynamic elements. Each of the three units was hand-assembled at the Pagani Automobili workshops in Italy, with meticulous attention to materials and finishing details.
All three examples were delivered to hand-selected collectors, and very few have been resold since their initial delivery.
