Bugatti Veyron GrandGrand Sport Vitesse - history

This Grand Sport Vitesse was born from the vision of one of Bugatti’s most prestigious clients. Owner of the "Bugatti Centenaire" and the only collector to possess all six models from the "Legends" series, this discerning enthusiast pushed the limits of customization. His ambition: to create the most exceptional Bugatti Veyron ever built, a challenge that the French automaker brilliantly met. This Bugatti Veyron is documented as the most elaborate and expensive version ever built, being the first with a body crafted from milled and polished aluminum.

Bugatti Veyron GrandGrand Sport Vitesse - bodywork

The Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is not only impressive for its performance but also for its unique bodywork. Its owner, one of Bugatti’s most important clients, had specific requirements for this model. Inspired by the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang, he requested a pure aluminum body without paint. Unlike the Pur Sang special editions, which featured welded aluminum panels, the client insisted on panels milled from solid aluminum blocks, with no visible welds. This requirement necessitated specially designed CAD programs to mold and polish each aluminum body part—a true feat! Blocks weighing over 20 tons were required to achieve the necessary panels, pushing production costs far above the initially agreed sale price.

Bugatti Veyron GrandGrand Sport Vitesse - a Powerful Roadster, Inspired by the Super Sport

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is the convertible version of the Super Sport. Under the hood lies the legendary 8-liter W16 engine producing 1,200 horsepower. This turbocharged engine delivers a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. This exceptional roadster can reach a top speed of 415 km/h, making it the fastest production convertible in the world. However, in normal driving mode, its speed is electronically limited to 375 km/h for safety reasons.

Bugatti Veyron GrandGrand Sport Vitesse - interior

The interior of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse stands out in contrast. Clad in Carmine Red leather, the cabin creates a striking contrast with the polished aluminum bodywork. The leather seats, designed for optimal support, and Alcantara finishes reflect Bugatti’s high-quality craftsmanship. The aluminum and carbon dashboard, along with the steering wheel, showcases the expertise of the French automaker.
