Today, I’m not going to present a car for sale on our marketplace, but rather an auction. Indeed, a 2021 Aston Martin V12 Speedster will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in Munich, Germany, on November 23, 2024. This German Speedster will go under the hammer with an estimated price between €780,000 and €1,080,000. Produced in only 88 units, the V12 Speedster stands out as one of Aston Martin's rarest cars.

The Aston Martin V12 Speedster I’m going to present to you is the 61st of the 88 produced. It has very low mileage, with only 46 km, and a finish in Aston Martin Racing Green. This finish pays tribute to the famous DBR1, victorious at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959, with white Clubsport touches on the body.

The Aston Martin V12 Speedster, inspired by the brand’s 1959 victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is a tribute to the DBR1, the sports car that gave Aston Martin its sole outright victory in that legendary race. Shared by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori, the DBR1 remains an icon of automotive history, and this heritage is reflected in the V12 Speedster’s design. The sensation is the same, only the era has changed.

The most striking element of its design is the complete absence of a roof and windshield, providing a driving experience that is viscerally different from other Aston Martin V12 Speedsters. A distinctive feature is the stunning separation between the driver and passenger, reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit. Interestingly, each car has spent over 50 hours in Aston Martin's paint shop to ensure a flawless finish. This specific model also features white Clubsport circles on the sides.

The interior of the V12 Speedster features Conker brown leather, with Viridian green leather and Caithness leather accents. The interior is minimalist yet luxurious, designed to put the driver at the center of the experience, much like the DBR1. The Aston Martin V12 Speedster is equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 700 hp and a maximum torque of 753 Nm. This engine, featuring four overhead camshafts and 48 valves, is mounted in a front longitudinal position.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.
